A herbal face pack for open pores and the first fine lines. It works the way every good clay-based mask works — by drying on the skin, which tightens as it goes — and the whole art of using one is knowing when to take it off.
What It Is For
Open or enlarged pores — the clearest effect, visible the same day.
Fine lines — softened, largely through tightening and hydration.
Firmness and tone — cumulative, over weeks.
Congestion — draws the pore out as it dries.
How to Use It
Cleanse and leave the skin very slightly damp.
Mix a small amount with water — or better, with rose water — into a smooth paste in a non-metal bowl.
Apply upwards with the flat of the fingers, avoiding the eye area.
Twenty to twenty-five minutes.
Rinse with warm water. Do not dry your face.
Mist a toner immediately, then a gel or a light oil while the skin is still damp.
Take It Off While It Is Still Tacky
This is the part that matters most, and it is the opposite of what people assume.
A mask stops working the moment the water in the paste has gone. Past that point it carries on pulling water out of the skin underneath, and skin left dry after a mask looks older by evening, not younger. The right moment is when the mask has gone matte but still gives slightly under a finger — not once it has cracked.
And the sixty seconds after the rinse decide whether the mask leaves your face better or worse. Toner on damp skin, then a gel. Never nothing.
How Often
Three times a week for oily skin. Twice for normal or combination. Once for dry or sensitive, taken off at fifteen minutes.
