Aloe Vera Oil for Dry Scalp, Dandruff & Skin – Herbal Infused Oil | 30ml

Aloe vera infused into a light carrier oil. It is the one herbal oil in the range that is genuinely non-greasy, which makes it the one people reach for when they want to oil their scalp without committing to a wash.
Aloe is cooling. That is the whole reason it works on an angry, itchy scalp where a heavier oil would make things worse.
What It Is
Aloe vera infused into a carrier oil. Not aloe gel, and not aloe juice — infusing it into oil gives you something that stays on the scalp and absorbs, rather than drying into a film.
What It Is Used For
Dry, itchy scalp
Its best use. Aloe calms the itch and the oil stops the tightness, and it does not sit heavy the way coconut or castor would.
Flaking and dandruff
Good where the flaking comes from dryness. If the flaking is greasy and yellowish, that is usually yeast and neem oil or tea tree is the better choice.
Dry, frizzy hair
A few drops through the ends. It is light enough not to make fine hair limp.
Dry and irritated skin
A body oil for dry skin, and the traditional thing to reach for after sun or heat exposure.
As a carrier for essential oils
Lighter than coconut, so it suits a facial blend better. Four or five drops of an essential oil in two tablespoons of this.
How to Use It
For hair
- Warm the bottle in your hands or stand it in warm water
- Part the hair and apply along each parting with your fingertips
- Massage the scalp for 5–10 minutes
- Leave 1–2 hours, or overnight
- Wash out with a mild shampoo
Two or three times a week.
For skin
A few drops onto clean, slightly damp skin and massage until absorbed. Damp skin absorbs oil far better than dry skin.
For frizz
Two drops rubbed between the palms and smoothed over the ends only. More than that and it looks oily.
Why This and Not Coconut Oil?
| Aloe Vera Oil | Coconut Oil | |
|---|---|---|
| Weight | Light, absorbs quickly | Heavier, sits longer |
| Character | Cooling | Neutral |
| Best for | Itchy, irritated scalp; a quick oiling | Pre-wash protection, deep oiling |
| Washes out | Easily | Needs a dry shampoo first |
If you want the best-evidenced pre-wash treatment, use coconut. If you want something you can put on a scalp on a Tuesday night and not regret, use this.
Free From
Parabens, mineral oil, artificial fragrance, silicones and sulphates.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it greasy?
It is the lightest oil in the range. Used sparingly it absorbs rather than sitting on the surface.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes, and it is one of the better choices for that — light, cooling and not heavily comedogenic. Patch test first.
Aloe vera oil or aloe vera gel?
Gel for a cooling layer on the skin that dries in. Oil for the scalp, for massage, and for anywhere you want it to stay put. See our Aloe Vera Gel.
Can I leave it overnight?
Yes. It washes out more easily than most oils.
Will it help hair growth?
It keeps the scalp comfortable and reduces breakage, which helps. For growth specifically, rosemary and bhringraj are the ones with the tradition behind them.
