Tea Tree Essential Oil for Dandruff & Acne – 100% Pure Undiluted

Tea tree oil is one of the few natural ingredients dermatologists regularly recommend. It is antifungal, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, which makes it effective for the two most common complaints people have: dandruff and acne.
Ours is 100% pure, steam-distilled Melaleuca alternifolia. Undiluted and potent.
For Dandruff
Most dandruff is caused by a scalp yeast called Malassezia. Tea tree oil works on the cause, not just the flaking.
- Add 3–4 drops to your shampoo, massage into the scalp for two to three minutes, then rinse.
- Or mix 5–6 drops into 2 tablespoons of coconut or neem oil, massage in, leave 30–60 minutes, and wash.
Twice a week.
For Acne
Tea tree kills acne bacteria and reduces inflammation. Mix 1 drop with 9 drops of carrier — jojoba, aloe gel or water — and dab onto the spot with a cotton bud. Twice daily, on the spot itself rather than across the face.
Dilution Guide
- Face, spot treatment — 5–10%. One drop in 9 to 19 drops of carrier.
- Face toner — 1–2%. Three to four drops in 100ml of water.
- Scalp oil — 2–3%. Five to six drops in 2 tablespoons of carrier.
- Shampoo — 3–4 drops per wash.
Never apply undiluted to skin or scalp. It will cause burning and redness, and the mark that leaves outlasts the spot you were treating. Patch test first. Never swallow. Keep away from the eyes and away from pets.
If You Want Something Gentler
For a ready-to-use form that needs no dilution and can go on the face every morning, see Tea Tree Water. The two together are The Clear Scalp & Skin Duo.
