Four oils chosen because between them they cover an ordinary day — the morning, the desk, the headache at four o'clock, and the hour before sleep. Nothing here is a routine. Each one is used on its own, for its own reason.

The Four
Lavender
The evening oil. Sleep, and skin that has been irritated by sun, shaving or a bad reaction. The one most people reach for most often, and the most forgiving of the four.
Rose
The expensive one, and worth treating that way. For the face, and for how a room feels. Two drops is a dose.
Peppermint
Cooling and sharp. Headaches, tired legs, a scalp that feels heavy. One drop genuinely goes a long way — two is usually a mistake you notice immediately.
Lemongrass
The daytime oil. Clears a room and then keeps it clear; traditionally used in India to keep insects out of kitchens. Not for the face.
Ways To Use
The standard safe dilution for essential oils on skin is three to twelve drops per 30ml of carrier oil. Everything below sits inside that range.
- Diffuser — four to six drops in a full water tank.
- Bath — four drops once the water has run, stirred through.
- Massage or skin — two to four drops in 10ml of carrier oil.
- Scalp — two to three drops of peppermint in 10ml of carrier oil.
- Pillow — one drop of lavender on a tissue, not on the fabric.
Never apply an essential oil to skin neat. This is the one rule that matters, and the reason most people who say essential oils irritated them had a bad first experience.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which carrier oil should I use?
Coconut, olive, almond or argan all work. Our virgin coconut oil is the easiest to keep around.
Can I put these in a humidifier?
Not an ultrasonic humidifier — oil damages them. A diffuser is built for it.
How long will 10ml last?
At five drops a session, roughly forty uses. Most people finish the lavender first and the rose last.
Are these safe around pets?
Peppermint and lemongrass in particular should not be diffused in a closed room with cats. Keep the door open, or skip those two.
Can I take them internally?
No.
