Gotu Kola Anti-Wrinkle Face Oil for Fine Lines & Firmness | 30ml

Why Gotu Kola

In the Charaka Samhita, Mandukaparni — the plant now sold as Gotu Kola, or Centella asiatica — is listed under vayasthapana: the classical category of herbs described as age-sustaining.

Modern cosmetic research arrived at the same plant independently. Centella is one of a small number of botanicals with a real body of study behind it for skin firmness and elasticity. The old texts and the laboratory happen to agree here, which is rarer than you would think.

That agreement is the reason this oil exists.

What is in it

Six extracts, each doing a specific job:

• Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) — firmness and elasticity. The reason for the formula.
• Aloe Vera — holds water in the skin, so the oil hydrates rather than only sealing.
• Calendula — calms. Useful on skin that has turned reactive with age.
• Tulsi — antioxidant cover against the daily damage that accumulates into fine lines.
• Lavender — refines the look of the skin's surface, and carries the scent.
• Wheat Germ — naturally rich in vitamin E, which skin draws on to repair overnight.

How to use

On freshly cleansed skin, dispense 2–3 drops onto your fingertips and massage over the face and neck in upward circular motions until absorbed.

Use it morning and night. If you use a water-based serum or moisturiser, those go on first and this goes on last, to seal the hydration in. In the morning, follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen.

What to expect

Skin feels softer and looks better hydrated within the first week. Fine lines soften over six to eight weeks of daily use — not over days. Anything promising faster than that from a botanical formula is promising something it cannot deliver.

Use it twice a day without skipping. This is a product that rewards consistency far more than quantity.

Before you use it

For external use only. Patch test before first use — some people are sensitive to plant extracts and this formula contains several. Discontinue immediately if irritation occurs. Store in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight.
