Corporate Diwali gifting has one failure mode above all others, and it is not budget. It is ordering too late and sending everyone something nobody uses.
This is what we have learned supplying hampers out of Jaipur, written plainly so you can plan against it.
Pick one set and give everybody the same thing
People compare. In an office they compare within the hour. A tiered gift list where seniors get the ₹650 box and everybody else gets the ₹320 one does measurable damage for a saving that rounds to nothing.
Choose one set at a price you can afford across the whole list, and give it to everyone including yourself.
Choose something nobody can get wrong
You are buying for people whose skin type you do not know, who may be any age, and some of whom are men who own no skincare at all. That rules out most face products.
Hair oiling does not have this problem. It is a habit most Indian households already have, it suits every hair type, and there is no version of it that is unusable for the recipient.
The three sets we most often send in quantity:
- The Bhringraj Ritual — ₹350. Oil, carrier, neem wood comb, drawstring pouch.
- The Everyday Oil Box — ₹399. Four oils, four uses, boxed.
- The Three Oils — ₹445. The step up, for a smaller list.
Budget per head
A useful way to think about it: under ₹400 per head reads as a considered gesture. Between ₹400 and ₹650 reads as generous. Above that, for a large list, the money is usually better spent elsewhere — the difference between a ₹650 gift and a ₹450 one is not noticed nearly as much as the difference between a used gift and an unused one.
Lead times, honestly
Diwali is Sunday 8 November this year.
- Up to 25 sets — a week's notice is comfortable.
- 25 to 100 sets — two weeks. These are packed by hand by three people.
- Over 100 sets — talk to us before the third week of October.
Courier networks across India slow noticeably in the week before Diwali, and the week of Dhanteras is the worst of it. If the gifts are going to multiple cities rather than one office, add a week.
Things worth asking us before you order
Stock. Tell us the number before you place the order. We would rather set aside a hundred sets for you than sell through them and let you down in the first week of November.
A card. We can include a printed card with your company's message in each pouch or box. Send us the wording.
Split delivery. If the list is spread across cities, send us the addresses as a spreadsheet and we will ship individually rather than sending you one carton to redistribute.
GST invoice. Standard, on request, with your GSTIN on it.
What we would not recommend
Mixing sets across one list. Covered above, but it is the most common request and the one we most often argue against.
Strongly fragranced products. Attars and essential oils are lovely gifts for one person you know well and a poor choice for forty you do not.
Anything needing a decision. A single bottle of an unfamiliar oil, with no instruction, goes in a drawer.
